I never thought I would say this, but Anderson – COMPLETELY AGREE with you about Vanilla Sky.

I seriously can’t get over the fact that Bryan put “Babies” on his list. How is this foreign? because it was made by a french director? I was waiting for Bryan to put “The Artist” on his list after he put “Babies” I always listen to people bash Bryan about his picks and I never really understood it..until now.. Bryan are you joking? It doesn’t make sense. I love this podcast and I’ll always be listening but seriously that pick is just…baffling to me. Sorry Bryan. At least you got the people talking, right?

I was surprised “The Vanishing” didn’t pop up on any of these lists, but when I just looked at IMDB, I realized just how freakin’ old I am. Damn movie came out in 1988…
Pan’s Labyrinth and Amelie are both overrated. Sorry.
otherwise, great show, and I’ll be streaming Le Haine and Let the Right One In on my upcoming vacation.
Also – Bryan – Adam Carolla is a dbag for not letting you plug TFV at the end of the show.

I’d put “Welcome” and “District B13” (for fun) up there

Rififi? 1955. Anyone, anyone? Spawned Ocean’s Eleven, Reservoir Dogs & countless other heist movies. 93/94% on Rotten Tomatoes. Turds…the both of you.

GOD. DAMN. IT. Children of Heaven. One of my favorites movies ever. How do you do it, Anderson? I’d accuse you of reading my diary, but I don’t keep one.

Bryan: ‘Bebes’? Top 5 last 20 years? You should have been a lawyer, arguing for its own sake, or perhaps to show how clever you are. You are remind me of the atrocious hybrid baby in ‘Alien Resurrection’. Appallingly self-centered to the peril of all in your path, but congenitally unable to understand why. Launch yourself out of an airlock, please.
Anderson: I feel your pain, buddy. I think I listen so that you won’t have to go it alone each week.
Listener poll: How many people think TFV should take a 6-month hiatus so that Bryan can see some movies?
Logan: You guys need to find a way to get listeners involved in assigning homework to each week’s gambling loser. If you do, I will buy astronaut ice cream and an expensive dildo contraption.
Bryan you made me genuinely angry this week, but I can’t stay mad. Love you guys. OK I feel better, now. Thanks for the podcast.

Y Tu Mamma Tambien is a great movie. The subtitles move very fast, but don’t worry you’ll understand what’s going on if you miss a sentence or two.

Check out the foreign film ‘High Tension’ – it lives up to its name.

Can you guys maybe list your top 5 in the spoilers section. Number them, instead of just listing every movie you and every jerk that has ever listened has ever seen. I tune out a lot or just have this on in the background and although you may talk about a movie for 5 minutes, you only mumble it once.

Might just lose a listener and amazon “click througher” with your hate speech against Crouching Tiger.

I can’t believe you guys love chronicle so much. That movie sucked. The first 45 minuts were an embarrassment. I was ashamed watching that teen-flick crap. What the “F”?
Other than that, carry on.

I’ve wondered about this too. I thought Chronicle was alright, but I’ve been shocked it’s in Anderson’s top 3 or 5 of the year especially with the number of movies he sees.

Bela Tarr: Sátántangó (1994), Werckmeister Harmonies (2000) (At 7 hours, Sátántangó could be a nice retaliation if Anderson hates ‘Babies’)
Wong Kar Wai: Chungking Express (1994), In the Mood for Love (2000)
Devils on the Doorstep (2000)
Underground (1995)
Yi Yi (2000)
Festen (1998)
Michael Haneke also deserves a mention. (The White Ribbon, Funny Games, The Piano Teacher, Cache)

I couldn’t agree more.
Also, let’s put a moratorium on “astronaut ice cream.” Does anyone care about astronaut ice cream– well, to the extent that it’s mentioned on the show?

I assume the reason “Let The Right One In” was renamed for the remake is that the novel it’s based on was called “Let Me In.” So the American remake has the same title as the novel.

I have the book and it is called Let the Right One In. The reprinting that came out with the American movie changed the title.

I expected Anderson’s list too be WAY out there, but his #3 and #2 would have been my #1 and #2 respectively. I do have a bit more of a horror leaning than most.
