  2. Listening to The After Disaster really makes Film Vault awesome sometimes. I love Bryan but he definitely turned up the brat-factor in the beginning of this ep – if I hadn’t listened to TAD, I would have thought it was all play, but it’s pretty funny knowing it was real.

However, I love BryBry and Anderson together and I don’t get a lot of the hate either one of them gets (especially Bry). And how can you HATE Miss Movies? SHE’S A FUCKING SAINT YOU ASSHOLES

Signed, a non-asshole fan (and now commenter).

    • Without her having given a single review or comment in person, but only channeling thru Anderson – Anderson’s wife has better tastes in movies than Ms. Movies with a few exceptions.

      • She brings a different flavor and point of view. It’s nice. Bryans the waste.

    • For those of us who are not fans of Miss Movies, it’s not hatred we feel towards her. We listen to this podcast to get entertained. Sure, the topic is about movies but the manner in which it’s being delivered matters as much as the content. Most people like excitement, humor, and personality, things Miss Movies does not have.

Do people hate Mother Teresa? No. But I would guess they don’t really care about what she has to say.

Do people love vanilla? Ehh, it’s not something to get excited about. I haven’t heard one person or kid exclaim “Oh yes, give me vanilla please! I love vanilla!”

      Thank you.

  3. So, does Anderson really think Blu-Ray is a fad, and can’t see much difference? Hopefully, he’s just kidding. Or maybe he just has an old crappy TV?

    • I was thinking his Blue Ray player may have up-scaling capabilities for regular DVD movies, thus reducing the noticable difference. My player does make my older DVD’s look better…not near Blue Ray but better.
Unfortunately Blue Ray may just become outdated in the not-too-distant future when 4K (and even 8K) HD becomes popular. OLED TV’s with 3840 × 2160 resolution will be the new standard of TV to own.

      • Well, so much for sounding like a fan of technology…I did mean ‘Blu-Ray’.

  5. Great pod, you guys ar the most consistent one I listen to. I don’t get all the hate for any of the three. Compared to other podcasts, it’s funny, paced well, and informative. Always the first one I listen to on the weekend. Onward to 2013!

  13. Great year, guys! Your thoughts about movies are interesting and entertaining – you don’t have to do anything else! Although I’d miss it if I never again heard Bryan half-shout a defensive, “No!” or Anderson’s excited falsetto.

I want to squeeze Stanley; he’s so CUTE!

  14. First of all, if you guys are only spending two minutes a week on your fantasy football team… you’re doing it wrong. Secondly, how has no one mentioned the fact that Anderson is… looking forward to… PACIFIC RIM? I like the director too, but good lord that movie looks stupid. I’m nearly 100% certain it will be awful.

Also if you see a $600 audio console on Amazon Click Thru, that was me!!!

  16. Good job on a great 2012. Can’t wait to hear the best of the year lists and reactions to Django Unchained. I feel like top 10 lists this year are all over the board so it should be a great listen. Definitely hope Beasts of the Southern Wild gets some love.

    • I agree that Anderson is rushing Bryan. A few episodes ago, he rushed him through the Amazon reads to the point of obnoxiousness. This week it was his FlickFessions – I know the universe centers around Anderson, but I like to hear what Bald has to say! Especially when he’s trying to go deep on a film review…on a film podcast!
