  1. So disappointed in you, Bryan. Your casual dismissal of Ender’s Game during the gambling segment belies your 80s nostalgia hypocrisy. You seem to give an open green light to movie adaptions of 80s cartoons you grew up with like Transformers and GI Joe, but you fail to recognize that at the same time the smart kids, the ones who grew up on Asimov and Bradbury, those kids were reading Ender’s Game. The book won both the Hugo and Nebula awards in 1985, the Oscars and Golden Globes of Science Fiction, and is on the reading list for the US Marine Corps for leadership training. Personally, I’m not even a fan of the book (but that is solely because I disagree so thoroughly with its author about certain social issues), but I can recognize its historical and cultural significance, and you and Anderson cackle about it as if you were sitting at the jock’s table in an clumsy, obvious high school movie. Yes, it stars kids. And yes, kids have enjoyed it. Maybe one day it will carry the gravitas of a cartoon that was invented to sell toys. You’re in the wrong too, Anderson. The closest cultural parallel to Ender’s Game is Robert Heinlein’s Starship Troopers, which was made into a movie I’m sure you enjoyed. You at least made your argument against the trailer, but both of you appeared to be aghast that a movie was even made of this subject matter about which you were completely ignorant. Those kids that loved the book, most of whom are older than you, they’re grown up and looking forward to this movie. The kids who had it in their high school curriculum, they probably are too. They all did something you two apparently forget to from time to time. They read a book.

  3. Hey guys,

Just caught up on a bunch of recent episodes. Listened to them all in a row. I love the dynamic between you two guys and was laughing out loud multiple times.

Anderson- Have you discovered Letterboxd.com? I’d imagine you would love it from an Obsessive Compulsive standpoint. It’s amazing.

Bryan- Love you on the show. Laughed way harder than I should when you called Devils Knot a name for a butthole. But SWEET CHRIST, YOU HAVE TO STOP SPOILING MOVIES. You are the co-host of a movie podcast. That’s like one of the cardinal rules. You also have to stop DEFENDING yourself for spoiling movies or arguing that it’s OK to spoil movies in this particular case. It’s never Ok. Haven’t your fans made it abundantly clear that they hate it? Your fanbase is people that want movie recommendations to old and new movies so your “it came out twelve years ago!” argument doesn’t work. You will also insist against Anderson’s wishes that you specifically mention specific details about the last third of the movie, and they’re always spoilers and the specifics never give me any insight on whether to watch the movie or not. Nine times out of ten it’s just a plot hole you want to complain about, just save it for the end! I love it when you do that spoiler thing at the end because when I have seen the movie, it’s fun to listen to you guys go in depth about something, but when it’s a movie I plan on watching, I can just turn the podcast off.

Anyway, I love the show, that’s my only big problem with it.

  4. Is there going to be an award to the year end winner of RT Gambling? May I suggest the winner gets to pick the next SniffTrax film. Like maybe one of the influential films to your guys’ love of movies (i.e. Pulp Fiction, Platoon). Thank you and Good Day.

  6. I have been listening to this podcast for the past 2 months and while waiting for each weeks new episode i have been jumping around the archives listening to older episodes. For the past 2 months I have been looking for the website that tells you guys what is streaming and what is not. these are some of the searches I tried;

    voc flicks
    voc flix
    fox flicks
    fox flix
    fuck flicks
    fuck flix….

it was only when i listened to a much older episode that I head Bryan say “if you keep calling it that some guy is going to end up searching for it” (paraphrasing). WELL I’M THAT GUY!! FUCK YOU ANDERSON!!

  8. Is there any listener who likes the Amazon segment? I love the show but I think that segment is so incredibly useless and I skip it every time. You could rename it “Anderson and Bryan list things that exist”:

    “there’s something called a fork”
“oh, hey, there’s a movie called Top Gun, ya don’t say?”
“well, how about this, there’s a nerf gun that exists, that’s kinda cool”
“Anderson, you’re not going to believe this, there’s something called a lamp”
“oh my god, something that exists is called a stapler”
“there’s a thing called a calendar, apparently you can write stuff on it”
“and you might use this; it’s a package of pens, a whole package of these things Bryan”
…. (continues for 7 excruciating minutes)

    • I love the amazon segments to be honest. There’s usually some funny stuff in there! I think Bryan should do a whole podcast where he just talks about butt plugs and other anal related items.

    • It was amusing at first, now it’s just a tedious break that i skip through… anything that gives anderson an excuse to be a whiny little bitch would be nice if it was cut out… like the gambling… if anderson doesnt want to have to pay the price of losing, dont gamble anymore.. crying for 15 minutes about how it’s not fair that bryan won and wants you to watch a specific movie, good pod does not make

  9. I randomly saw Katie at a comic shop on Sunset as I waiting to…
    perform comedy SSSSSSSNIIIIIIIIIIIFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
at a nearby establishment. I was tempted to ask her, “when are you and the half-Asian kid gonna kick out a new podcast.”
But[t] something caught my attention… something that is never mentioned on any of the podcasts……
    Dat ass.
    Sweet Jesus…..
    Dat.
    Ass.

      • The producer with the teenager’s voice? Can’t wait for those things to descend, bro.
In the meantime, you might want to heed Anderson’s advice and double-check that the “record” button was pushed.
        “You had one job.”

      • Well, I insulted him last week for his multiple errors on the show. So I just naturally deduced that he wanted revenge.
        Do yoouuuuu uuuuunnndeerrstaaaand that concept?
As far as my intellect is concerned, I’ll keep it irreverent and quote LBJ: “don’t get into a pissing contest with a polecat.”
