  1. Anderson you are a HACK! The nova that you corrected Bryan about is not the fucking vanishing point challenger, the white “vanishing point” challenger comes in the second half of the film! For fucks sake they even mention it’s the vanishing point challenger like 10 TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Bryan, we are the same age… How have you NOT seen S & the B?!? You need to see it, but imagine a young Balding Bryan watching it in the mid-80s. Avoid S & the B II or III unless you love shitty sequels.

  6. I forgot to say that i totally agree with Bryan about flightplan. A level above your average thriller and a really good film.
I really like how the viewers perspective of whats happening as well as Jodie fosters character’s perspective on whats happening changes multiple times throughout the movie. sometimes they line up and sometimes they are different. sometimes we know more then her and sometimes she knows things we don’t. It was like I was trying to solve a mystery while watching a character trying to solve the same mystery from a different changing perspective. Also Jodie foster and sean bean are always amazing.

  7. Was Anderson thinking of Maximum Overdrive when he stated he was scared by a black truck? Wasn’t a 4×4, but an unhooked cab…

  11. I’m watching “They Live” right now and laughing my ass off because I’m remembering the way Anderson described the first twenty(?) minutes or so : gay porn-y. He was 100% correct.
The construction workers aren’t just muscular and shirtless– they’re rubbing their heads slowly. Plus, the main character is getting a bit too close to a stranger too quickly.
This thing is probably the #1 seller on Amazon for West Hollywood for non-porn DVDs– if they keep track of such things.

  12. Actually NOT being car guys made your lists a little more interesting, allowed you guys to just focus on something interesting rather than just “sexy”

    • Top 5 reasons they’re “doing it for van gogh”

      5. hipsters think that in order to be cool you cant make any sense
      4. even extreme narcissists who wear t-shirts with their name spelled backwards think “doing it to just to hear ourselves” is a bit much
      3. can’t say “doing it for mo dough” when the show doesn’t earn any
      2. BaldBryan insisted on “doing it for Van Wilder” but lost the coin toss
      1. how better to symbolize the audience’s desire for ear mutilation at the end of each show

  17. ok, I’ll be the first douchbag to say it. Scottie’s car in Boogie Nights isn’t a copy of Dirk’s Corvette Stingray. It was a Datsun 280Z painted the same color. Bryan, you don’t have to be a car guy to know Scottie doesn’t have the same car. You just have to pay attention to the movie.

    • Not a douchebag. It’s an episode about cars, at least get the cars correct. Also, a a movie afficionado, you could make an argument that the 280Z is a reasonably fascsimilie of the Corvette, but still not quite the Corvette, in the same way that Scottie could never be Dirk.

  21. The movie with the black truck that keeps mysteriously showing up, what Anderson referred to but couldn’t remember the movie, is the horror anthology called Nightmares from 1983.
