I get it, Carolla’s a dick…a dick who could have helped Anderson’s career if Anderson understood anything about how the business world works (did it cross Carolla’s mind to employ Anderson on his Newman doc or Road Hard…somehow I doubt it). Of course, this is the same guy who apparently had the amazing fortune of having Steven Speilberg in his film class, yet proudly recounts how he refused to shake Speilberg’s hand at graduation. Keep going Anderson. At least you can rest easy knowing that you’ve never kissed anyone’s ass.

Another podcast that shall go unnamed (Filmspotting) put the question “which movie would you save from 1993 if every other movie was going to get eliminated?” to a vote. Groundhog Day won OVERWHELMINGLY over Schindler’s List and Jurassic Park, which blew my fucking mind for weeks.
I understand that Filmspotting is broadcast through NPR to Chicagoans, and Bill Murray is Jesus in Chicago.. But holy f–ing shit. I’m not even a major fan of Jurassic Park, but I would vote for it over Groundhog Day anytime, and the fact that it beat Schindler’s List is literally comedic.
Most overrated films ever: Groundhog Day, Lost in Translation, Shawshank Redemption

Citizen Kane is on your list because some professor that had a big influence on your life made you watch it for class once. Prob same for Lawrence of Arabia. Never heard of Paths of Glory (is that like Blades of Glory?). No issue with Apocalypse Now but overall you’re a moron.
Also, Groundhogs Day is a great movie. It is a movie that you can watch over-and-over again. I can’t say the same for Jurasic Park or Schindler’s List.

No. I remember exactly why I watched it. Chris Matthews referenced it two shows in a rowwhen I was 19 (a LONG time ago). When I watched it a couple of days later I thought that it was the best film I ever watched, and I had no idea that it was such an historic film. Honestly.
