Guys,
As a recent convert to the podcast I love (LOVE!!!) the show….but what gets mighty annoying (MIGHTY ANNOYING!!!!) if the constant dramatic repetition (DRAMATIC REPETITION!!!!!) of things just said by the other guy. It’s cute the first few dozen times per show. You guys are clearly total film nuts with great insights and ideas…I now routinely follow your inspired pics….but the constant gratuitous dramatic repetition (CONSTANT DRAMATIC GRATUITOUS REPETITION!!!!!!!) is too much….you just sound dumb….which you aren’t (YOU AREN’T!!!!!). The worst offender is Bryan. He does his affected “top drop” voice constantly….(CONSTANTLY!!!!). You guys are funny without quite so much of that crap. It’s like listening to a teenage girl with terminal rising? inflection? where every? other word? is phrased? as a question?
Back it down a little please (PLEASE!!!!)
Huge new fan (NEW FAN!!!!)
Best wishes
Tim

Hahaha. I love the economy of words and hate repetition. There is a guy named Dino on Tom Leykis’ internet show who is the worst offender of it– the worst offender. He ALWAYS repeats a word or phrase that he said at the end of each sentence– ALWAYS. At first it was humorous to me, and I guessed which word/phrase he was going to repeat as he was speaking– it was humorous. But now it’s annoying as hell– AS HELL.

To everyone complaining about the ads, shut the fuck up. These guys put in hours and hours of their time every single week into a completely free service. Is it so bad that they make a little money on that? Where does the sense of entitlement come from where you think you’re owed an ad-free show? You have got countless hours of free entertainment from this show and learned about tons of movies, you can fast-forward through a few commercials.

Before A and B preached the Gospel of DraftKings between every breath, they implored us listeners to give feedback. I think it’s okay to do so…and where else but here? Feedback is not always 100% positive.

Anderson, thanks for spreading the word on LET THE FIRE BURN. I watched it last week and still can’t get over how impressed I am by it. Absolutely enthralling stuff.

If these two want to sacrifice their artistic integrity & sully their creation by turning themselves into billboards, that’s their perogative. Plenty of podcasts from two guys in a basement with an iphone and the platinum limited-edition blu-ray of Pacific Rim for you to tune in to.

Untrue. I cannot “fastforward” the ads, nor can I skip Brian’s copious spoilers, while I am biking to work.
I need my hands free at work too, lest hot beef grease spatter into my eyes as I fumble with the controls of my mobile device.

Runs the risk of taking a shot of “hot beef grease” to the face – he must be a podcast producer.

I feel so bad for all of you people who have lives that give you no choice of when to listen to free content and cannot fast forward. Those 10 mins a week of ads must be torture, TORTURE! (dramatic repetition)

I’m glad Anderson is retiring “Defending Your Life”. I’ve seen this thing a dozen times, and have received it as a present on more than one occasion, and I can’t stand the movie. So overrated.
/end trolling.

Totally agree! Every single person in the entertainment industry has their nose so far up Albert Brook’s ass. And every time I see him he has this puzzled look on his face like “I don’t know why everyone loves my shitty comedy so much?”

The first movie I thought of upon seeing Top 5 Afterlife Movies was “Wristcutters: A Love Story”. I was a little disappointed it wasn’t mentioned at all. Oh well, that’s going to happen from time to time.
Enjoyable show. Thanks guys.

I should mention — the reason I immediately went to Wristcutters is that it depicts an Afterlife that is not specifically Heaven nor Hell; the movie creates it’s own specific Afterlife world, which I found interesting.

I know they’ve mentioned this film before, I remember watching it after they talked about it (Anderson I’m pretty sure). As I recall he liked it.
