The characters are not politically correct, but Anderson and Bryan do their best as they discuss the TOP 5 RACISTS.

Hey Anderson, Re: 26:50:
There’s these things called aircraft carriers that, well, carry aircraft. Helicopter flies out to the carrier, carrier goes to Hawaii, helicopter takes off from carrier to go to land… wtf is so hard to understand about that? Why must they actually show every step of this so you don’t think the helicopter is supposed to be flying halfway across the Pacific?

What is up with Bryan and spoiling movies! Thankfully I didn’t listen to his entire review of Locke before seeing the movie – just that he liked it and sure enough after I saw it he gave away plot points. And yes, I haven’t seen The Help, but now know there’ll be a mud pie served to someone. Thanks Bryan.
By the way Anderson – I’m with you about The Alienist. I hope the film is made sometime. I think Billy Bob should come out of director retirement and do it.

I bought the flag bracket from Amazon. It was 100% because they didn’t have a white one at Lowes. Good call Bryan

I’m like to say I’m not surprised that Bryan didn’t understand The Dirties, but really it’s just par for the course now. It’s not a found footage movie.

Bryan would have been my number one. Fuck that guy, so unfunny. Make Logan the new host and send Bryan back to the Carolla show so I don’t have to hear him anymore. He hasn’t mentioned one movie that I have gone out of my way to watch.

I gotta defend Charlton Heston for just a second. What he was saying in that (heavily edited (shocking)) interview was that the USA has a unique challenge in that we are much more racially deserve then most country’s, therefore there is more potential for conflict between races. This makes america different (which was the question he was asked) because this is not an issue that France or China for example would have to deal with.
Saying certain races cause violence, which is was Bryan, Anderson and it seems a lot of people who saw that interview though he was saying makes no sense. That doesn’t answer the question he was asked “why is america different” because most every other country has a race we have in this country that is the huge majority. Having white, black, asian or latin people is not unique to america.
If your not convinced take 5 min on the internet and learn about how Charlton Heston was a huge civil rights activist.
You have all been had by moore

You are absolutely right. Not surprised that Bryan fell for Moore’s creative editing. He’s not too bright.

Not Peter Boyle’s character Buck in Monsters Ball? How’d you miss that one?

I am looking forward to seeing Conspiracy and Milius.
My biggest pet peeve of this show (great lists by the way), more so than Anderson interrupting Bryan during Flickfessions so he can go on his long bloviations about HIS movies (which many are great recommendations), is Bryan and his flagrant lack of respect for the listeners of this podcast. He doesn’t seem to even care that he not only spoils movie endings, but more often spoils cool reveals in movies. Like ruining the reveal in Chinatown, which I am still angry about. And today he went on to ruin one of the greatest reveals in one of the greatest scenes in movie history in Inglorious Basterds. Does he just not respect anybody else? Not everyone has endless time to watch every movie that comes out. And it doesn’t matter how long the movie has been out, there are still countless listeners that have not seen the movie he is talking about. He is ruining other people’s movie experience and it is frustrating. Anderson at least has the decency to TRY to not ruin movies. I like the waiting until the show is over to go into reveals, that at least gives people a chance to turn it off. Please, a little respect for the listeners. It has almost driven me from the show, but I have been listening so long I am addicted and seem to break away.

Brian, you went borderline on some of your comments, kind of eerie.Where you attempting to push the envelope, or . .. ? Anyhow, Anderson’s “Higher Learning” available here. I just started the film, thought I’d share the location before it was shut down. http://vimeo.com/68446529

I remember watching “Higher Learning” vividly. I lived in Detroit, and I very rarely drove anywhere because I was so young. For whatever reason, my friend and I really, really wanted to watch it, but our parents couldn’t drive us to it because they were at work. It was the first time when I drove without one of my parents in the car. *Of FUCKING COURSE* as soon as the movie ended and we left the theater it started snowing very hard– literally right as we took a few steps out of the theater. Of all things, several blocks down the road a black man in a cadillac skidded onto the road past a stop sign; when I tried to stop my brakes locked up, then I broadsided him. Very memorable experience. Shitty movie.
I’m surprised that no one mentioned Ian McKellan as Kurt Dussander in “Apt Pupil.” That movie is underrated as hell. Also, Bruno Ganz as Adolf Hitler in “Downfall” would have been an exellent choice.
But once again the listeners’ top five rocked the hosts’ top five.

I should also add the even though I broadsided him there was absolutely no damage to either car– we just sort of bounced off each other like bumper cars because the road was so slick. Very strange.

This was a terrible movie that brought many good ideas to the forefront. Damn, so much potential. This was like School Daze, but a poor imitation. Nice attempt to bring Fishburn back, but . ..
However, I seriously dig the end credit song. Sounds like PE, not sure, though.
