The longer the episode, the better BTW. I could listen to Bryan waxing poetic and Anderson digging up unheard of movies for reviewing for possible 3-4 hours, over the course of 3 days.

Jesus Christ Anderson! God damn you! Why is it everytime Bryan starts in on his flickfessions & is giving his opinion or analysis you have to tell him to wrap it up or give him such a hard time? The whole point of the segment is for you each to have your turn to talk about movies you’ve seen. Obviously you have the better tastes in movies & a greater range but not everyone has the same tastes as you & Bryan is the counter balance to that. Calm down & let the show run it’s course. That being said here are some other weapons
The Terminator: Sent back in time to destroy JC
Spinning Blades in Big Trouble in a Little China
Nicholas Cage fists in Con Air(J/K)
Wolverine’s Claws
Pen & TV in Grosse Point Blank
Vise in Casino
Fishing nets in The Cove
Buttbomb in Man on Fire

Bryan! Thanks so much for making Anderson watch Before Sunrise; I was going to buy a ticket to the After Disaster Live Show (tickets still available for Saturday night at the Hollywood Improv ) to tell him, but now I don’t have to!
For the record, I also recommended that you watch The Sting a while back and am looking forward to my nomination at this year’s Vaulties in the “Listeners with the Most Free Time” category.

60$ (ticket+fees+2drinks+gas) just to tell a complete stranger to watch a movie? I admire your passion. Why not pay 5$ + 50c postage for a dvd and mail it in.

I also want to add re: Olivia Munn
I’ve also heard from MULTIPLE sources in L.A. that she is a monster cunt, so I have no problem with saying that (based on pictures that I just saw of her from the last few months) she isn’t aging well whatsoever– the thirties are
HUNKERIN’ DOWN
on her face. Whereas I would have said “WOAH!” if she weren’t famous and I randomly saw her on the street, now I would just think, “Eh…. Eh.”

I thought the obvious choice would have been the ‘little friend’ from Scarface. Some more oldies but goodies: death blossom from The Last Starfighter, the weirding modules from Dune, those smart bullets from Runaway.

You guys have been doing this podcast for around 3 years. At some point you guys need to stop having the conversations about how the podcast should be structured. Just go with it! If Flixfessions runs long, so be it. Stop having production meetings during the show. Thank you.

But Anderson gets bored when people that aren’t him are talking and he needs to tell everyone that he is the one who should be talking the entire show and if he doesn’t get his way he needs to throw a tantrum… it’s the ‘charm’ Anderson brings to the show!

I want to applaud Anderson for having the balls to say things about the Roger Ebert documentary that other people just seem as if they’re too afraid to state. At what point does “fighting” become just a lack of dignity? On imdb, viewers of the film and I have guessed that the video of Ebert in his last years totaled *probably* 45 minutes of the 2 hour documentary, which would have been too long even if he were in relatively good health in his last days. The fact that Ebert and the documentarian forced us to watch things that were entirely unnecessary to understanding the man and left a grotesque imprint in our minds about him is inexcusable. It wasn’t heroic. It was just ignominious reality-TV-style porn, and it often occurred during moments when the film was displaying great bits from the Siskel and Ebert show or interesting facts about his life. Also, they almost seemed as if they were damning Gene Siskel for keeping his condition private then dying quietly. You know what? I very much PREFERRED it, Roger. No offense. And if someone showed footage of the last years that I saw to me and said, “this is how you’re going to ‘live’ (heavy emphasis on those quotation marks) the rest of your life” I would *unquestionably* pick up a huge bottle of whiskey and a shotgun then head off into the wilderness of the Pacific Northwest.
And I wouldn’t film it.
If this thing wins an Oscar I will lose even more respect for the Academy than I lost last year.

ABOUT THE CANDLE WAX SEX SCENE: bryan is forgetting its these kids living these fucked up lives. so as far as sex, of course they would imitate things they saw in movies. It’s sort of like kids today being warped by all this internet porn. I didn’t find the scene overwritten at all. These kids don’t know anything. Nothing about life, consequences, sex. It’s all about pretend. Sometimes I feel Bryan leans too much on stuff he learned in school. Most people that took the same classes, but that now make a living of that probably spent years unlearning all that in order to form their very own opinion.
