  3. If you guys do Top 5 Inanimate Objects, the number 1 is you. YOU ARE AN INANIMATE FUCKING OBJECT!….sorry I needed to be the first one to make that joke…god, I love In Bruges.
But seriously….obviously that topic is way too broad. But I think what that topic would basically turn into is Top 5 MacGuffins/Red Herrings. I just looked and it does not look like that topic has been done, at least not in the current incarnation of the show. I think that could be a pretty good topic. The statue in the Maltese Falcon and the briefcase in Pulp Fiction are the two obvious ones that come to mind. I think this could work because the Macguffin is usually an inanimate object anyways, but not always.

  4. Hi Bald and Anderson,

I just got done listening to this ep and wanted to drop some love on Anderson for his comment about dimentia patients and music. Very recently I lost my grandmother who had altheimers (likely mis-spelled) and was able to communicate to her by song. At the end she was very unresponsive, but when I sang a song to her that she used to sing to me when I was a child she joined in. Not to be corny, but it was an amazing way to say good bye to someone who was barely speaking by the end. Music therapy works. She died one week later. Unfortunately She didn’t have 6 months to lose it, but we did share 5 minutes to say goodbye. Love you Doc Drew but that’s all I needed. Great point Anderson. I love the Film Vault. Keep up the good work.

  5. Will Farrell was God in the Lego Movie. He created the world, and was trying to keep it orderly. His son was more like the Devil, introducing chaos into the world.

  6. I also was not impressed by Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Heard so many good things about it but when I saw it on dvd it was just about average for me. Anderson is dead wrong on Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, because I think it is a fantastic movie but I also think Kate Winslet was the best part besides the idea & effects of the movie. Also thought Garden State was really good & I’m not a Braff fan at all. Anderson thinking that he could punch out a better script than this leaves we wishing he would release or sell a script to see how good his stuff is. His hatred for some stuff is weird because I think some of the movies he loves are very hipster. Overall kind of a weak show or I guess topic but really hate when they don’t talk about spoilers. Not sure why people are in an uproar over being told something about a movie when that is what the show discusses & the risk of you listening to it. If you want to see something but don’t want to know about it than either delay the listening of the podcast or skip that part.

It’s in Spanish, but may be the man used as God in Holy Grail? Maybe not, but interesting likeness. I’d like to know the translation since I don’t read Spanish.

    • You’re 100% correct, sir. I am actually an accountant. I lie about being a comic to strangers just for the fuck of it.
Lying about it is a fun side project that I have going.
      Jesus christ….

      • Actually, I just want you to learn how to write contractions properly. Also, if you had a higher I.Q. and/or good proper knowledge about comedy you wouldn’t ask such a question. You’re acting as if I wrote, “I’m a headlining, touring comic who has done it for decades and has a huge following” as opposed to the reality that I’m someone who has done it just a few years and is going on the whims of real headliners and operating mostly as an oooooooppppennneerrr or miiiiiiidddlllllle aaaaact. You’re a mouth-breathing, coverall-wearing yokel who just scratched his nuts while he stared at grainy footage of the moon landing and said, “prove it.”

  11. It was the first time that they revealed that they’re agnostic (as am I).
Now I know why Anderson hates Penn Jillette as much as I. Penn is a loudmouthed cunt who thinks that he must inject his atheism into every.fucking.thing.
Just yesterday a fellow comic told me about bizarre things that have happened lately at The Comedy Store. As I told him, I don’t DISbelieve in ghosts because we know fuck all about this existence.
