Really dumb movie, but as AC mentioned, it is enjoyable because it is so bad. One other detail I noticed while watching it the one and only time I sat through it, it was a SUMMER camp, but the outside shots clearly show the leaves were changing. So obviously shot at a camp after the season.

For some reason the first film that popped into my head on this topic was ‘Planes, Trains and Automobiles’ – Del is a serial killer on the run from the law, and continues his spree on his trip with Neal, without Neal’s knowledge. Will Neal be next?

Anderson was far more engaged than usual, and it was fun listening to him pitch crazy horror reboots. Creativity suits him well. I’m glad they didn’t just borrow from the YouTube videos in which people recut movies as horror films.

It covers the, as the title would suggest, the entirety of the boom of horror movies good and bad. In the 80’s, the genre had become so diluted that almost anyone could make a horror film, and they would! It also goes into great detail with Sleepaway Camp, which was one of my favorite parts of the documentary.
Also, upon hearing your guys’ assessment of the state of all the comic book movies coming out (which I wholeheartedly agreed with as I am not a fan of such films), it dawned on me that their are some parallels between that and the rash of horror movies in the 80’s diluting the market which was discussed in Going to Pieces. It’s not a great documentary, but any doc about movies in general always has some great stuff to ingest.
