  1. Thought someone would have mentioned by now that their complaints about Julianne Moore losing to Annette Bening were pretty baffling. Moore wasn’t nominated that year, and Bening lost to Natalie Portman in Black Swan (and Jennifer Lawrence was also better that year, in Winter’s Bone).

  2. Barely tolerated Colin Firth?! Are you insane? He was absolutely amazing in A Single Man, The King’s Speech, and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Anytime I see his name attached to a film, I’ll automatically give it a shot. One of my favorite actors out there.

  3. Would be legit if this show had a producer who prepared for the show. Would have had last years picks and what happened, all the odds for the categories, and even an idea of what to gamble on. Not to mention they might remember last year’s bet was Bryan would record the After Disaster vs. Anderson would go to Bryan’s book releasing. Maybe next yr

  4. That Lego tribute was the balls y’all. Meaning it sucked galactic a-hole. Neil Patrick Harris is killing it tho. Where did this Cowboy come from?

Anderson’s true top 5 for the Vaulties:

    5. b–d
    4. Nearsighted
    3. Everybody Dies
    2. Rules of Reduction
    1. Cult of Carano

Will he be able to overcome his narcissism??? Maybe he’ll just fake it.

  6. Did Annette Bening win an Oscar? I don’t think so & I know her 2 best chances she lost to Hillary Swank twice(Boys Don’t Cry vs American Beauty & Million Dollar Baby vs Being Julia)
    Oscar Locks for me:
JK, Patricia Arquette, Inarritu for director, Lubeski for cinematography, Lego Movie best song consolation prize, Feast animated short, Julianne Moore, & Micheal Keaton.

  8. Re: Kingsman
Bryan likes Colin Firth ONLY when he is in James-Bond-for-Cro-Magnon films. Duly noted.
If you save the world, I’ll let you fuck me in the ass.”
    ………..Shakespearean, really.

  9. Thanks for ALWAYS doing a podcast, guys! You are really great but can I just say as a movie buff, the Oscars are incredibly overrated and not relevant! I love when you guys talk about movies that I’ve never heard of (i.e. Dear Zachary, In a world, Whiplash, etc.) but not overblown Hollyweird highly publicized pieces of dog feces. Keep up the great work!

  10. I’m really starting to lose faith in this show. Why do I care if the hosts don’t even seem to give a shit? I’m sure the studio issues are frustrating, but jesus, you guys only did two flickfessions each then completely ditched the betting segment at the end. I’m just bummed because I fucking love this show so much and I just expect you guys to at least put forth a decent effort. My Fridays have been seriously lacking lately due to the half assed nature of this show.
