  1. So glad you guys are back. This episode was great. Entertaining and a ton of movies mentioned.

Getting several top five picks every episode : awesome!
Getting more movie ideas beyond those : awesome!
Trying to go through the “movies mentioned” list and trying to remember what non-M.Night movies were loved and what were crapped on : no so much.

  2. Last time I checked “Citizen Kane” was based on William Randolph Hearst.

  3. Ok, either I am insane(distinct possibility) or right after the fandango spot(about 00:33:16) they play a DragonForce(Through The Fire And Flames) song while promoting Future Idiots. I only notice because the guitar riff from that song is fairly recognizable and awesome. The reason I bother to ask, is because it will drive me to madness if I don’t get to the bottom of this meaningless question.

Still that madness aside, great episode. I do love the film vault and glad to see it return. Also glad to see the return of Miss Movies. So keep up the good work.

  4. SHIT! SHIT! GAWD DAMN IT. FUCK. What the Hell am I doing? I remember the first time I looked up a “radio personality” online to see what they looked like. Art Bell from the Coast to Coast A.M. program. SHIT! You mean he’s a pimp-stached dwarfish dork in glasses? Where’s the respectable pot-belly? No silver mane? Where’s the Class ring? Next, I snuck a peek at Phil Hendrie. Jesus F-ing Christ. All those funny characters come from that hairball? Well, I guess it just goes to show that your inner light must surely shine bright like golden coconut sized orbs in your chests, which is nice, since I usually listen in the dark, naked, in the cool, damp, dankness of Grandma’s basement, rocking gently in Grand-dad’s old chair, micro-waved banana peel waiting ever so patiently in an old cookie tin and the clothes drier exhaust vent redirected straight at my feet and who knows, maybe later at my taint. Like I said, nice.

    I’m very glad to find you folks onboard with Michael Biehn as much as I’ve been since ALIENS, which tops my;
Favorite DVD to have playing while “oofing” a girl from behind that you just met at the bar down the street with the express purpose of having an excuse to execute a complete “stop” to watch an action scene while still fully inserted list.

Bryan, fantastic Al Pacino impersonation. Anderson you teased us with a possible Robert DeNiro answer. Would you guys entertain the idea of introducing more character renditions for our amusement? Also, maybe your most frequently quoted or favorite to quote line from a film top 5? Mine is “Every passing moment is another chance to turn it all around”. -Penelope Cruz, Vanilla Sky

Excellent work gents. After the countless hours of smiles you’ve provided me it’s a joy to extend a virtual hand to you and even a middle finger rub to your palm. -Thanks

  5. Hi,
As much as i abhor the genre. I think there should be a top 5 musical list, just so I can get “Once” watched by you guys. It is surprisingly good, and therefore leads me to believe you can find me 4 other “musical” movies that I might have overlooked.
    Thanks,
and thank you for coming back. You guys rule! (except Anderson)

  6. YES, “Shine” is really underrated. Also could have been a really great choice for a biopic. Not to mention Geoffrey Rush did an amazing job emulating the real David Helfgot. I could not believe it when I saw a video of David how similar the character was.

  7. I have to ask,… between all the sniffing and the inability to stay on topic,… is Anderson doing blow before the show?

  8. AMADEUS FUCKING CRACKS, and Basquiat…. dog, Anderson, you’re on X or something, that movie is so boring and pretentious I didn’t even finish it. Basquiat’s art work is super tight (I actually bought a print of his after seeing the movie) but that movie sucks. Amadeus was by far the tightest movie out there. ALso, what’s good with the contest? I tweeted in like a couple days ago and there’s not mention of the contest on twitter or anything.

  9. This episode was – as Bill Burr would say – just tremendous! I love this podcast because it is always entertaining, hilarious, and informative. Be that as it may, I find it apropos to say …*sniff*…YEEEEEEEEEEAHHHHH Film Vault. Also, Miss Movies was great. Is she supposed to do 5 minutes of solid material or something for you whiny assholes? Dunno what all the huff n puff is about for a small segment of the show. Keep it up. You too Logan, the website – including the list of all movies mentioned – is fun to see and comment on. Nonetheless, you’re fired.

  10. Great Top 5 topic for the show. I am disappointed that “Auto-Focus” had no mention whatsoever, not even an honorable mention.

  17. So apparently Miss Movies is a person people don’t like. Red Light Green Light gets a little dry, but still surprised by all the hate.

Didn’t Logan have another segment he was trying to introduce at one point? Now that you guys are out on your own get creative.

  18. MISS MOVIES IS THE WORST THING TO HAPPEN TO PODASTS EVER!! CAN HER FRIENDS AND FAMILY PLEASE STOP POSTING COMMENTS ON THIS PAGE, ITS PROBABLY EVEN HER HERSELF. THANK YOU

  19. The Fighter was the best biopic ever? What was your favorite part? When ‘ How You Like Me Now’ played for the fourth time after he won? Most of Brians movies arent biopics.

  21. the only negative about Miss Movies’ appearances is that they are much too short. Plus, why is she only on like 3 or 4 times a year?

  22. Fantastic show. Best one yet since your return, and I always like Miss Movies when she makes an appearance. You guys totally make my Friday morning commute. Anderson- I’m watching Barfly again tonight, as it’s been so long since I’ve seen it, and Bukowski was my high-school aged gateway to being an embittered drunk so it holds a special place in my heart.

(I have yet to hear either one of you utter “make your joke..”)

  25. Glad this isn’t the TV Vault, Bryan! If you’re going to talk about “Catching Hell,” let Anderson talk about “Breaking Bad” and “The Wire” all he wants. “Catching Hell” counts as TV.
