I can’t believe that Anderson tried to sneak by with the idea that Denzel Washington somehow directed himself in Training Day, based almost solely on the argument that most of Antoine Fuqua’s films seem less than impressive, and it is therefore somehow impossible that Fuqua could have been able to coax that performance out of Washington. That’s a pretty thin argument. He’s Denzel Washington! More often than not, he’s great. There’s no mystery there. I suppose that by this rationale, we can also assume that Bruce Willis must have directed his own performance in The Sixth Sense, because none of M. Night Shyamalan’s other films are on the same level as that one.
Even though it was an intentional choice and not an accident, I nominate this for Anderson’s Egregious Error of the Week.

Great show guys with many great examples. I still vote for Tommy Wiseau in The Room but what the hell. Before anyone gives me shit it’s tounge firmly planted in cheek. Good job to you too Logan. Keep it up guys.

I haven’t loved-and re-watched-a movie this much since “Master and Commander,” and “The Road Warrior” before that. Robocop meets The Raid? Dirty Harry meets Blade Runner?

Logan…. everything you say is awful. You try so hard to be like Anderson. That is all until I hear you speak again.

Great episode as always. A strange coincidence happened at the beginning of the episode. Just as Anderson was asking Bryan to name a famous gamer, I was checking up on the results of an ongoing video game tournament taking place in Germany. E-sports (as it’s known) has gained a lot of popularity in recent years, especially in Europe and East Asia. To answer Anderson’s question, the most famous pro-gamer in the world is probably Lim Yo-Hwan, who at the height of his career was earning more than $400,000 annually. Yes, you’ve never heard of him and yes, you don’t care.
