  3. and FUCK the “new thing,” how dare they remake that with such tripe!

Anderson you’re shredding footlongs all day long bro.

Bryan your RAD, but I hate when people spell “Brian” with a damn Y! Fuck your parents for doing that!

  5. Just rewatched “Fire in the Sky”. That movie scared the crap out of me when I was a kid, but watching it now, it’s interesting to learn it’s actually an incredibly well-made film! Robert Patrick and DB Sweeney are fantastic in it. Glad you guys reminded me of it. I hope it gives Brian nightmares.

  6. Anderson, please actually make Bryan watch Eraserhead like you always threaten too. It needs to happen.

  7. SPOILER ALERT: To all those that complain about spoilers on the Film Vault…shut the hell up! Rule of thumb with spoilers – if the movie is older than 1 year, spoil away. If that ruins the movie for you, it’s your own damn fault for not watching the movie in a timely manner and then expecting to not hear people talk about the movie on a movie podcast.

Bryan and Anderson – if you are reading this, please talk candidly and openly about every aspect of every movie. Do not handicap your critique by failing to talk about plot since it might “spoil” it for someone.

Spoiler alert: Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker’s father.

    • People like you are what’s wrong with this world. It is NEVER okay to spoil a movie. I don’t care how old the movie is, you have to assume there are people that haven’t seen it, and it is extremely rude to spoil important parts. That’s why Bryan is a hack, because he is incapable of doing a review without spoiling major plot points or whole endings. And the fact that he makes the same idiotic argument as you did and has seen so few movies is the most ironic part. Just shut up, Landon, you’re out of your element.

      • What kind of film buff are you? You can’t watch a movie within a year of it’s release? Let’s just all stop talking about movies to protect your fragile ego. I’d hate to make you cry by spoiling the end to Titanic. What a tool.

      • And in response to your “you are what’s wrong with this world” comment: it’s not the Islamic extremists blowing up buildings, or the fascist dictators performing genocide on there own people, or the money grubbing pedophiles selling children into sexual slavery. Nope it’s people who spoil 20 year old movies. We’re the scourge of the earth. Get a life.

  10. Bryan, please go back and watch The Abyss. Based on your rankings, I suspect you haven’t seen it in 15-20 years, or at least not since The Matrix changed what we expect from movie effects.

The Abyss, seen now, is like watching a junior high school science class diorama project.

  12. Good episode. Sadly, “Meatballs Part II,” starring the incomparable Richard Mulligan, was overlooked. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087700/

Where do I find the t-shirts again, BTW?

  14. Watching Gravity without the 3D is like hooking up with a model and insisting on just dry humping. And then if you are Anderson you complain that she was a horrible lay and didn’t have anything meaningful to say.

    • However, if you are looking at its faults, George Clooney was practically playing his character from O Brother Where Art Thou in space. He couldn’t have been any Cloonier. But that’s Cloontang for you.

      • Yeah, Clooney is tough to take, isn’t he? I mean, how people can stomach Three Kings, Ocean’s Eleven, Syriana, Good Night, and Good Luck., Michael Clayton, The American … I have no idea.

Anyway, can we get back to talking about Ryan Gosling or other Serious Actors or some such shit? Please?

  20. Anderson there is gravity in space. That is how the moon revolves around earth and the earth revolves around the sun and so on. The force of gravity is greater here on earth than where the movie is set but there is gravitational forces everywhere in the universe.

    • If I recall correctly he said, “there isn’t much gravity in that movie” so he is technically correct. I noticed it, too, but then I remembered “isn’t much.” He didn’t say “there isn’t *any* gravity.”

      • That may be true. I intially listen to the Film Vault at work then go back and relisten. I will listen again but on my first impression i thought he was implying that there was no gravity.

      • After going back you are correct they allude that there is not much gravity in space and not that there is no gravity like i first perceived. My apologies boys. Keep up the good work.

  22. I loved The Faculty when I saw it, pry 13 years old or so, and I revisited it a couple of months ago and my advice is to NOT revisit it. Let it stick in your memory where it is because the CGI is AWFUL. The CGI would make Sharknado look like District 9.

  23. Anderson’s flickfession of GRAVITY will go on record as one of the saddest reviews of a movie in TFV history. His bizarre incoherent ramblings and nitpicking of silly, minor details really made it sound like he has some axe to grind with the movie for some reason. He was really grasping at straws with some of his “issues” with it.
