  1. List can’t possibly be complete without Reed and Dirk:

  2. Cant decide which is more horrifying: Transformers 4 disguised as Jurassic Park for morons or Captain America 2 disguised as a monkey humping the Matrix.

  3. Where’s the Revenge of the Nerds band? You’d think Bryan would have been all over this.

  4. Saw “in a world…” a movie that frequently features the day-to-day trials and tribulations of sound-board operators…hmmm could the reason our two heroes lavish such undeserved praise on this middling movie be because they too are sound-board operators? Way to cloud your reviews with your own prejudices.

    • ^ hahaha… Well, I say that it’s a Lake Bell fuck fantasy, but your analysis is pretty good.

    • I also just rented this to watch with the wife based on the recommendation of BB and AC. It was not very good…at all. The wife is getting tired of their lame picks that I force on her. Perhaps it is more of an “industry” thing, but I feel like it was rather flat.

On the other hand, Disconnect was a major win. Thanks for that one, gents.

  6. You guys know that you need to do an entire show that is dedicated to Philip Seymour Hoffman.
    Don’t fight it.

    • They won’t because everybody’s heard of him and loves him as an actor. Bryan only likes CGI and Anderson only likes stuff because he thinks he’s the only one who’s heard of it.

  7. totally agree with Brian on Jackie Q from get “Him to the Greek”. A hilarious music video in a mediocre comedy.
full disclosure i have a huge crush on Rose Byrne. Those 2 songs are as good as any pop song today, maybe better.

Honorable mention: POP from Music and Lyrics just because “pop goes my heart” its a perfect 80’s parody.

  9. I can’t believe Doyle’s band from Sling Blade didn’t make the cut! Or my personal favorite The School of Rock.

  11. I appologize if I missed the joke but The Square was probably named after Tahrir Square where the most publicized Egyptian protests took place.

  14. I read the topic as “brands”, and came in wondering if both Red Apple cigarettes and Big Kahuna Burger were mentioned.

  15. Sometimes Anderson’s narcissism is annoying. Like how he rushes Bryan through his flick-fessions because he can’t wait to pontificate with his long pretentious diatribes about the movies he saw. Bryan talks about 3 minutes per movie, so Anderson can go on for 8 minutes each. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy Anderson’s recommendations, but his narcissism is irritating sometimes. It would be nice if he was more respectful.

  17. HELLS BALLS !!! I missed the Tweet for suggestions…. I was going to nominate the mostly missed “mockumentary” of Hard Core Logo. Since Anderson’s a pretty big punk fan, I’m thinking he’d love this one.
